Paadhai Day
On October 28, 2006, Paadhai day was celebrated in Cologny, near Geneva. It was the first public event of Paadhai and the aim was to create awareness.
Three shows (Bharata Natyam, « Bollywood » fashion show and Indian music), four workshops (Carom Board, Jewel confection, Mandalas concourse and Saris), two stands exhibiting craft work (Dalit women and jewels), two exhibitions (photos and videos on Paadhai), two food stands (bar and Indian meal) and a tambola – were the hall marks of the event. Paadhai day started at 2 PM and went on till 11 PM. There were more than 500 visitors, some coming from as far as Paris and Zurich. There was a short movie on TV Léman Bleu (the Swiss local channel) as well as an interview on the radio about this event. 
 
 
Trek in Switzerland for challenged children
In the month of June, 2009 Paadhai organized a trek for challenged children which brought Paadhai and trekking networks together.
This was in Lac noir (Schwarzsee) near Fribourg in Switzerland where a multi-terrain vehicle was used called the Joelette. It is used for taking children along. Plans are there to get one of these for some challenged schools in India.
